PERSONAL
All about my 30-minute film, including how to watch it online.NOVA
The official corporate website, replete with complicated all-Flash interface. As a former interface designer, it makes me sob quietly. A lengthy essay written by a former Nova staffer, it covers a lot of information about the day-to-day life of the eikaiwa (i.e., corporate English instructor). A Tokyo-centric look at Nova, with some opinionated advice for would-be applicants.PLACES
Japan may be the only country in the world that prefers its beaches indoors. This predilection often yields some mind-blowing, Disneyland-esque experiences, but it's also kinda sad. Virtually all of Japan's real beaches have been paved over. Similary, if you've ever wanted to go skiing indoors, Tokyo is the place to be. Or at least it was. The SkiDome shut down last September due to cost overruns. Which is too bad, as I was looking forward to checking it out. Oh well. At least there are pictures.FRIENDS
